Growing up life always revolved around sketching, Lego, Meccano, making stuff, breaking stuff, pulling things apart to find out how they work and above all trying to make them better. After almost twenty years in creative product design and development my aim remains the same. I now work with a talented creative team, Photoshop, Pro Engineer, Solidworks, and the latest rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies, to deliver highly successful products for a wide range of international clients.
Having graduated with a degree in product design from the University of Leeds, I worked in many different market sectors during my early career ranging from power tools to consumer goods, food & beverage, automotive and medical. Enjoying project success with; many leading international companies and household brands such as Unilever, Electrolux, B&Q, and Next.
In parallel with my active design career I also undertook a master’s degree at Leeds Metropolitan University in Industrial design. This led to me taking on a part time role as a senior lecturer in design, a rewarding position, which gave me the security and flexibility to found TRIG Creative in early 2004.
In addition to my shared managerial and design role at TRIG I am also the companies’ technical and production specialist, having undertaken formal qualifications in injection mould tool design and industrial plastics / metal processing. This along with my career long involvement in mass manufacturing techniques and process enables TRIG to offer a true full concept through production service.
